What are the distinct features?
The Thunderbolt is equipped with extra security features like turn signal lights and automatically reclines for extra comfort. Thunderbolt AR also has a remote controller feature.
Is this device travel friendly ?
All of our wheelchairs and scooters are designed to be travel friendly. When the scooters and wheelchairs fold up, it can put it in your trunk pretty easily. The wheelchair even fits in the trunk of a small sedan car. When it comes to Airline and Cruise travel it gets a little more complicated. All wheelchairs and scooters using regular sized batteries are airline and cruise compliant. Some of the extended batteries are not compliant to TSA regulations, therefore not suitable for airline travel. Please consult your user manual for more details.
Do you have a DC charger for cars?
The wheelchair comes with a home charger. current (110/240 Volt). it does not come with the DC car charger.
What does the remote control do?
Remote control gives the opportunity to control the wheelchair remotely within 10 yards distances for the caregiver or user themselves to control. You can also use the remote control to recline the wheelchair.
Is the Thunderbolt AR compliant with TSA and FAA regulations?
The main reason a device may or may not be compatible with TSA and FAA regulations is the battery size. The Thunderbolt AR with regular battery is compliant.

How can I recline the wheelchair ?
The wheelchair can be reclined by either the joystick or the remote control. For Joystick, press and hold the recline button for 2 seconds. The P1 writing will appear on the joystick led screen and from there movement of backwards and forward with the joystick will control the recline. To recline with the remote control, pressing on the recline button will incline the backseat and the trigger button on the bottom will raise the backseat.
Where should the wheelchair be plugged in for charging?
There is a charging port under the joystick and on the battery. You can charge your wheelchair from either of them.
Storage life of a charged battery?
The typical estimated life of a Lithium-Ion battery is about one to two years or 300 to 500 charge cycles, whichever occurs first.
Can you put a bigger lithium battery in for more mileage? or add another battery?
This wheelchair comes with a regular 12Ah battery and it doesn't support the addition of a second battery simultaneously but you can purchase an extended battery to upgrade from 12Ah to 20Ah.
What kind of Brake System does it have?
Intelligent Electromagnetic Brake.
What kind of safety features does Thunderbolt have?
The Thunderbolt line is equipped with turn signal lights for extra safety outside. Other safety features include Seatbelt, Brakes and Anti-tipping wheels
How do we install or remove the battery?
The battery is located under the wheelchair frame positioned upwards. Once the safety clip is released, the battery can easily slide out and be changed.
