How do I take good care of my wheelchair?
Please do not use your wheelchair at a temperature above 104 F or below -4F. Also check all the bolts and nuts periodically (Every 3 months) and tighten them if needed. Also keep the plugs and other connecting parts in order so that the wheelchair works smoothly.
How do I take good care of my Battery?
Avoid recharging the battery after completely draining to extend the battery life. We recommend charging when the battery is about 20%. The ideal battery life is highest when using at room temperature. If the temperature is below 32F the battery life might be shorter and when the temperature is -4F or less the battery life might be as low as half or more less.
Storage life of a charged battery?
The typical estimated life of a Lithium-Ion battery is about one to two years or 300 to 500 charge cycles, whichever occurs first. They should be stored away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and water.
How many degrees of incline can the wheelchair climb?
6 degrees.
Is the Hercules Lite compliant with TSA and FAA regulations?
The main reason a device may or may not be compatible with TSA and FAA regulations is the battery size. The Hercules Lite with both regular and extended battery is Compliant.

What kind of Brake System does it have?
Hercules Lite has an intelligent electromagnetic brake and a hand brake.
What are the Unlocked/Locked Freewheel Levers?
There are red levers at the back of the rear motors. You should see that you will disengage the motor from the wheel by doing that. When you push the levers up the wheelchair goes to manual mode and when you push the red levers down the wheelchair goes to automatic mode.
What is the max speed ?
The wheelchair has 5 speeds and the fastest is 4 mph.
What is the weight capacity ?
265 lbs.
How do we install or remove the battery?
With the regular battery option, the battery is located in the black box on one side, and with the extended battery option there are batteries on both sides of the wheelchair. In order to access the battery, the cover of the box needs to be removed. We recommend an official service person to perform this action.
If the charge runs out, can you use it manually?
Yes. You can use it manually. Once the wheelchair is powered off and the latches are on free wheel mode, the wheelchair can be used manually.
Is there any assembly required for this wheelchair?
The wheelchair comes almost fully assembled. After the box is opened, The footrests need to be attached to their place, the cable plugged to the corresponding cable and the joystick slide in its place. Battery is already attached and ready to go.
How exactly do you charge the battery? Do you flip the switch at the battery on/off or just plug it up?
There is a charging port under the joystick. You can charge your wheelchair from there.
What kind of brake system does this chair have? Both manual brake and electromagnetic?
The wheelchair comes with an electromagnetic brake and manual hand brakes, when the wheelchair is turned on the electromagnetic brake will be active, when the wheelchair is turned off you need to use manual hand brakes.
What is the difference between the backrest height and the seat height?
Backrest height measured from the top of the backrest and cushion (seating area), and seat height is from the ground.
What compact does it become when it's folded up and can the hand controls be moved to the right side?
The joystick controller is interchangeable for left handed and right handed individuals. The foot rests come off when needed to save space when folded, backrest folds down to bring the size to a compact size which fits into car trunks.
What is the width of the Hercules Ex? Will it fit through my door?
The width of the chair is 27 inches with the wheels, and the standard door width of American houses are 36 inches wide.
What should my Hercules Lite wheelchair tires pressure be?
Between 35-42 PSI pressure the rear inflatable wheels are supposed to be.
