      Questions Asked

What you wonder about Mammoth EX Auto Recline ?

      Distinct Features?

The Mammoth series is known for being the most heavy duty. The Mammoth EX AR model is the Auto Reclining version of the Mammoth EX. It has a 21.5” ultra wide seat and a weight capacity of 400 lbs. Hence, we call it a bariatric wheelchair.

Does it come with both a remote controller and a joystick ?

Yes, it comes with both remote control and joystick

Is this device travel friendly ?

All of our wheelchairs and scooters are designed to be travel friendly. When the scooters and wheelchairs fold up, it can put it in your trunk pretty easily. The scooter even fits in the trunk of a small sedan car. When it comes to Airline and Cruise travel it gets a little more complicated. All Wheelchairs and Scooters using regular sized batteries are airline and cruise compliant. Some of the extended batteries are not compliant to TSA regulations, therefore not suitable for airline travel. Please consult your user manual for more details.

      Is the footrest retractable?

The footrest can be folded under the seat and you won't need to remove it at all.

Can the backrest tilt back for naps?

Backrest is adjustable for height and reclining.

Is the Mammoth EX AR compliant with TSA and FAA regulations?

The main reason a device may or may not be compatible with TSA and FAA regulations is the battery size. The Mammoth EX AR with regular battery is compliant.

For any questions regarding compliance, please contact the Bangeran Customer Support

What is the width of the Mammoth EX AR? Will it fit through my door?

The width of the chair is 29 inches, and the standard door width of American houses are 36 inches wide.

I turned the scooter on, but it won’t budge or go / or the joystick makes a beeping sound. What should I do?

There is a red latch on each rear tire. If you hear a beeping sound you need to pull those latches up. After turning the wheelchair off and back on again the sound should be gone.

How to recline and incline the backrest ?

The wheelchair can be reclined by either the joystick or the remote control. For Joystick, press and hold the recline button for 2 seconds. The P1 writing will appear on the joystick led screen and from there movement of backwards and forward with the joystick will control the recline. To recline with the remote control, pressing on the recline button will incline the backseat and the trigger button on the bottom will raise the backseat.

When the battery is discharged how can I incline the wheelchair?

What you need to do is to unscrew the piston at the back of the backrest so that the wheelchair is out of auto recline mode. In order to go back to the auto recline mode you need to screw back the piston when the battery is charged.

What is included in the box?

      Electric Wheelchair x 1, Control Joystick x 1, Bluetooth Remote Controller x 1, Charger x 1, Headrest x 1, User Manual x 1

How do we install or remove the battery?

The battery is located under the wheelchair frame positioned upwards. Once the safety clip is released, the battery can easily slide out and be changed.
