The Mammoth series is known for being the most heavy duty. The Mammoth EX AF model is the Auto Folding version of the Mammoth EX. It has a 21.5” ultra wide seat and a weight capacity of 400 lbs. Hence, we call it a bariatric wheelchair.
When the battery is discharged can this still be used like a regular wheelchair?
Yes; it can be used as a regular wheelchair. You just need to push the red levers on the rear wheels down so that the motors disengage from the wheelchair hence make the wheelchair in free wheel mode.
How can I fold and unfold the Mammoth EX AF ?
On the joystick there is a button that controls the seat which you see the seat picture near that button. To fold or unfold what you need to do is one of these two options. 1-) Push the seat button and "-" or"+" button on the joystick. Please note that "+" unfolds and "-" folds the wheelchair 2-) Push the seat button and move the joystick stick backward to unfold or forward to fold the wheelchair. To recline with the remote control, pressing on the recline button will fold the wheelchair and the trigger button on the bottom will raise the wheelchair.
How to pair the remote controller?
The remote control comes paired with the wheelchair joystick. If not, while the joystick is off, please press and hold the on/off button and unfold button together for 3 seconds. A red and yellow indicator light on the remote controller will flicker and this means the previous pairing history is deleted and ready to pair with a new joystick. Next, open the joystick and hold the remote control next to the joystick. A beeping sound will be heard and this sound means that the pairing was successful.
What material is the frame made of?
The wheelchair is manufactured from aircraft grade aluminum alloy. That makes the frame lightweight .
Storage life of a charged battery?
The typical estimated life of a Lithium-Ion battery is about one to two years or 300 to 500 charge cycles, whichever occurs first.
Is the Mammoth EX AF compliant with TSA and FAA regulations?
The main reason a device may or may not be compatible with TSA and FAA regulations is the battery size. The Mammoth EX AF with regular battery is compliant .

Where should the wheelchair be plugged in for charging?
There is a charging port under the joystick and on the battery. You can charge your wheelchair from either of them.
When in manual mode how much resistance is there when it's pushed?
You should not feel much resistance. If you feel there is a lot of resistance, the wheelchair may not be in free wheel mode or the weight on the wheelchair may be more than recommended.

How do we install or remove the battery?
The battery is located under the wheelchair frame positioned upwards. Once the safety clip is released, the battery can easily slide out and be changed.
